We have all been there…..We want the perfect family photo, so we have to stop a stranger, ask them to take it, and pray it turns out ok! But when you go on vacation at Universal Orlando Resort, they offer an easy way to capture all your vacation memories.
Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Purchase Your Photo Package
My Universal Photos has three different packages to make sure you’re properly set up for your day (or days) of play:1-Day, 3 Day or 5 Day Photo Package:
This package gives you one full day, 3 consecutive or 5 consecutive days of photos at any of the three parks with exclusive pricing on park photo prints and unlimited digital downloads. It also includes a My Universal Photos themed lanyard and card, discounts on photo gift products, as well as one 4×6 and one 5×7 photo print at time of purchase.
TIP: Be sure and let your Magical Memory Planner know which package works best for your trip! We would be thrilled to take care of purchasing this for you!
Step 2: I’ve Purchased it, Now What?
Once you or your magical memory planner has ordered your package you are at Universal Orlando Resort, you simply show your confirmation email at a merchandise location where Universal Express Pass is sold or at the My Universal Photos stores in the parks entrance (just past the gate). A Team Member will give you your photo card and lanyard, assist you in setting up your Photo account (emailing you password and link)then you are good to go.
Step 3: How do I use it?
There are three different ways to capture your vacation memories. You can have one of Universal’s professional photographers scan your card before taking a photo, scan the barcode yourself at one of the selfie stations around the parks or scan the barcode at the end of any participating rides.
The photos will automatically show up on your My Universal Photos account, which you access by using the log in they give you when you received your lanyard and card.
Step 4: The Best places to find Universal Photographers
Universal photographers and photo stations are located throughout Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay. There is also a photographer located at each park entrance to welcome you in and snap that family photo!
Character Meet and Greets like Transformers, as well as the Raptor meet and greet in Islands of Adventure, usually have photo opportunities, but these vary now as the park adapts to life after the pandemic. There are also several areas within the parks with a timed, automated camera. I loved the ones at Jurassic Park!
Every photo opportunity is great, however, my absolute favorite moments are the ones you can’t capture yourself – the ride photos! You can find ride photos at a large number of rides, Hagrids, Spiderman, Men in Black, just to name a few.
There are even some places that are hidden gems to use your photo pass, like at ET and The Darkroom that are also included with your package!

Make sure after the rides, to claim/scan your pictures, using your card, so they will be uploaded.
