We are so excited about the phased reopening of Universal Orlando Resort that started with the opening of the parks on June 5. Here are some of the important things you need to know.
Entering the Parks
In the parks, guests need to wear masks. Be prepared to have your temperature taken when you arrive at the parks. As you enter security, you will start to see signs with social distancing guidelines.
You’ll also notice extra cleaning. The staff is doing an excellent job of wiping everything down regularly from City Walk to the parks. Signage reminds you about frequent hand washing, social distancing, and keeping your mask over your nose and mouth.
City Walk
Most locations are open, but not everything. Restaurants have limited menus and seating. Quick locations, like Voodoo Donuts, have social distancing set up in the queue and some locations offer mobile ordering. Dining Reservations are highly recommended at this time. Check the Universal Orlando App for current hours of operation.
Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure
The parks are open with limited capacity and the majority of the attractions and shows are open with social distancing in the queue.
Popular attractions have a virtual queue option in the app available. Use the app to check wait times as well.
For quick service dining, guests are seated at tables that allow for social distancing. Food orders are placed through the mobile app. If you want to try one of the table service locations, a reservation is recommended.
Volcano Bay
Volcano Bay is also operating with limited occupancy. Masks need to be worn on arrival, while shopping, and when waiting for food. You do not have to wear them on the water rides while going from ride to ride.
To allow for social distancing, chairs are spaced in groups. Cabanas are still available for rent.
