Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas is an amazing Quantum Class ship that is not too big and not too small. There’s lots of great fun, food, entertainment, and staterooms onboard. Have a listen as we share all the incredible things to see and do on this ship.
Staterooms
Anthem of the Seas was built in 2015. It is a Quantum class cruise ship and accommodates 4,905 guests.
The ship has awesome staterooms in addition to the typical inside, ocean view, and balcony categories. The Royal Loft Suite and the Owner’s Loft Suite are two-story suites that sleep four guests. There is a lot of space and amazing views from the bedroom in the loft. They come with your own Royal Genie who truly makes your vacation unforgettable. The “butler style” service makes sure you are treated like a VIP throughout the ship.
The ship also has virtual balconies that are options for inside staterooms. When you pull back your curtain, you see the view of the outside of the ship, so you can see coming in and out of port, sunrises, sunsets, and more. These rooms are great if you want a view outside, but do not want the cost of a balcony.
Studios are another awesome feature of this ship. A studio is a cabin for one person that doesn’t have a single supplement. They are perfect for guests traveling with an additional family member or friend that wants or needs their own space. There are even studios that attach to larger staterooms, which are nice for families and friends. Interior and balcony studios are available.
Dining
We know dining is a huge part of cruising (at least it is for us). The food on this ship does not disappoint! Just like the rest of the ships in the fleet, there is complimentary main dining and the Windjammer Marketplace (buffet). There is also Sorrento’s Pizza, Cafe Promenade, and the new Cafe Two70. (Check out the entertainment section in this article to learn more about Cafe Two70) These are all included and will keep you fed and happy. But, wait! There’s more with at least seven more amazing specialty dining venues. Coastal Kitchen is for suite guests, but Chops Grille, Jamie’s Italian, and Izumi are sure to please. For something new and unique, you have to experience Wonderland.
Bars onboard include the English Pub and Boleros, but one you have to check out is the Bionic Bar where two robot/bionic arms make your drinks. There is no human bartender! It’s an amazing place to drink and to watch as they work.
Entertainment
The Broadway show on the Anthem of the Seas is “We Will Rock You” plus there are other shows and entertainment on other nights. If you love to dance and play then you will love the Music Hall. This venue has a stage and dance floor and features cover bands and lots of other great dancing opportunities. At the back of the ship is Cafe Two70 that changes from day to night. During the day, the large windows let you enjoy beautiful ocean views, but at night this venue becomes something totally different for shows and entertainment.
There are many activities on the ship – a rock wall, flow rider, and Ripcord by ifly. You’ll also want to stop in at the SeaPlex, an indoor space with basketball, ping pong, Xbox lounge, and more. During certain times, you can play bumper cars. The best part is everything here is included in your accommodations except the games in the arcade.
Sound like an amazing ship? For 2023/2024, it sails from New Jersey to the Bahamas and then spends the late spring to early fall in Europe sailing from England. If Anthem of the Seas doesn’t have an itinerary that works for your vacation plans, check out one of her sister ships that are similar in size and activities offered – Quantum of the Seas, Ovation of the Seas, Odyssey of the Seas, and Spectrum of the Seas.
