There are lots of places to eat at the Disneyland Resort but we are always asked, “Where should we eat?” Well, here are our top 10 Disneyland Restaurants
#1 Napa Rose – Disney’s Grand Californian Resort and Spa
This is the best restaurant in Disneyland if you are looking for fine dining. Chef Andrew Sutton has a seasonal menu that brings the freshest food from the Napa Valley to Disneyland. Located at one of Disney’s onsite hotels it is close to the park although you might want to dress up a little more than what you wear to the parks. Due to the popularity of this restaurant, reservations are recommended.
#2 Steakhouse 55 – The Disneyland Hotel
This is my favorite steakhouse. Not only do they have great steaks but the whole menu is delicious with some seafood, lamb, chicken and more. You may have trouble picking an entree but the good news is, the sides are to share. We LOVE the truffle mac and cheese with lobster but the vegetables, risotto, and potatoes are great too. Reservation are a good idea here as well.
#3 Goofy’s Kitchen – The Disneyland Hotel
If you are looking for a meal with extra character then you are going to love Goofy’s Kitchen. This buffet offers both breakfast and dinner with your favorite Disney pals. You can even include this character meal in your Disneyland Vacation Package. Reservations are recommended.
#4 Storytellers Cafe – Disney’s Grand Californian Resort and Spa
This is a great location for breakfast and dinner. They have a character breakfast with some fun “critters” like the bears from Brother Bear, Miko, and Chip and Dale. At dinner they have a great buffet but they also have an a la carte menu. If you want to eat at prime dinner/breakfast times then a reservation should be made ahead but you can probably get a last minute reservation while you are there (a day or two ahead) if you are flexible and don’t have a very large party.
#5 Blue Bayou Restaurant- Disneyland
Blue Bayou is located in New Orleans Square and is inside the Pirates of the Caribbean Ride. It could be the hottest, sunniest day outside but its a cool evening in the bayou in this restaurant. Although the food has a creole twist you will find there is something for everyone on the menu. One of the greatest things about this location is you can make it a Fantasmic Dining package so that you will get preferred view of Fantasmic that evening. If you are looking for Fantasmic you have to book it as a Fantasmic package since its not automatically included with every reservation.
#6 Carthay Circle Restaurant – Disney’s California Adventure
Located right in the heart of Buena Vista Street is Carthay Circle Restaurant. The name may be familiar to you if you know a little bit about the Disney story. The Carthay Circle Theater is where Snow White Premiered and the restaurant is a beautiful version of that theater. You will be taking in a piece of history here. The menu is all locally sourced in Southern California
#7 Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen – Downtown Disney
This location in Downtown Disney is a favorite of ours of dinner. Its a great meal and in the evening they have some great live jazz music. If you want to go later when the music is playing you will need a reservation unless you want to try to get a high top by the bar for a couple of people. If you get there between opening and 5:30 you can probably sneak in without a reservation but the music hasn’t started yet. They have great steaks and salads and of course some great New Orleans/Cajun options. You’ve got to try the crawfish mashed potatoes.
#8 Splitsville – Downtown Disney
What? A bowling alley is on your top 10 places to eat? Well, think of it more of a restaurant that has bowling. We got the best sushi here and amazing pizza. You can eat while you are bowling but you can also just eat there and they have an area to eat away from the lanes. This makes it a great place for lunch or dinner.
#9 Flo’s V8 Cafe – Disney’s California Adventure
We ate here several times and loved both the breakfast and the lunch/dinner menu. For breakfast you can get waffles that are circle with cars characters on them. They also have a brioche french toast with salted caramel and bananas. Lunch/dinner is great with a fresh carved turkey sandwich, friend chicken, or ribs. There are 2 things I absolutely love about this restaurant. One is the theme. Its incredible, just like the movie. You have to see it during the day and at night. Second is the mobile ordering option. This is so key. Even with a long line to order we found our table, I placed the order on my phone while we sat comfortably, and in less than 10 minutes our food was ready. Its much easier to order on the app then getting my family of 5 to huddle around the kiosk as they all try to talk to the cast members.
#10 Bengal BBQ – Disneyland
I love this place. Its great for a snack/small meal as well as a full meal. Everything is on skewers and they have steak, chicken, bacon wrapped asparagus, veggies and more. You can also get a combo with 3 skewers and rice if you want to have more of a meal. Mobile order for the win here too! It makes it so easy.
