Now you can book a Character Couture Makeover that is available for all ages (3 and up). You can have a makeover as an adult on your own, or even with your child!
What is a Character Couture Package?
This is an experience at the Walt Disney World Salons where a professional stylist transforms your hair, makeup and nails into designs inspired by your favorite characters. No character is off limits!
Package pricing starts at $50. You can visit the Ivy Trellis Salon at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the Salon by the Springs at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, LaVida Salon at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, and Ship Shape Salon at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts. Appointments are definitely required!
What to Expect at Your Appointment
When these makeovers were first announced, I was so excited! My family was going to be at Walt Disney World for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and I thought this would be such a fun activity to do with my daughter. We were not disappointed! My daughter was dressing up as Uma from Disney’s Descendants and she convinced me to go as Ursula from The Little Mermaid. We made a great mother-daughter duo!
On the day of our appointment we arrived at Ivy Trellis and met with our stylists. They knew the characters we were dressing up as and created a vision to make the look happen. Going into it with just a character in mind was great. We were so surprised with how amazing these makeovers turned out. As I did not have any vision in mind, the stylist was able to wow me with a hairstyle that was so perfect for my costume. The curls on top were so creative and influenced by Ursula’s tentacles.
If you have any skin sensitivities, do not worry. I have many skin sensitivities and I was able to confirm prior to my appointment that the makeup would be safe for me. I also confirmed this upon my arrival and the stylists were happy to answer any questions about the products.
My daughter felt so pampered during her makeover. She was excited to have a special hairstyle that not everyone else had and she loved all the compliments she received on her makeover.
