“The best ways to get around Universal Studios Orlando”
by MMP Meredith
When staying at an on site hotel, it is easy and convenient to get around Universal Studios Resort in Orlando. One of the many perks of on site hotel’s is the transportation to and from the on-site hotels and theme parks. Once you get to the resort, transportation to the parks will not be a stressor. Universal Orlando Transportation has you covered!
While you cannot take an actual broom, they do offer a few other “fun” options. The water taxis that run from a dock in CityWalk can take you to several on-site hotels (Sapphire Falls Resort, Portofino Bay Hotel, Royal Pacific Resort, and Hard Rock Hotel). They run everyday beginning 30 minutes before park opening until 2:30am, after CityWalk closes. The water taxis pick up guest every 15 minutes. If you miss one or it was at guest capacity, don’t worry, the next boat will be there in just a few minutes. Each water taxi journey will not take more than 15 minutes. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride.
The another form of resort transportation is the Universal Studios Orlando buses. For several hotels, they are the quickest option. Depending on which on-site hotel you are staying at, the journey will take only 4-7 minutes. Although all 8 USO on-site hotels offer bus service (Sapphire Falls Resort, Portofino Bay Hotel, Royal Pacific Resort, Hard Rock Hotel, Cabana Bay Resort, Aventura, and both Endless Summer Resorts) you may find that the water-taxi’s are quicker for the resorts along the waterway. Each on-site hotel has a designated bus stop. You can check your hotel map or ask concierge for assistance. All on-site hotel buses drop off and pick-up in the same location at the parks. The bus depot is located by the parking garage outside of CityWalk, follow the signs. From there, it is a short walk to your destination for the day.
Are you “peopled out” or still need to get in some extra steps? You’re in luck, Universal Studios Orlando also has walking paths from most of the on-site hotels (with the exception of the Endless Summer Resorts) to CityWalk and the parks. Depending on which on-site hotel you are staying at, walking could take anywhere from 15-25 minutes. So if walking is your thing, USO has you covered.
With multiple Universal Orlando transportation options, they definitely make it easy and convenient to get around. So the next time you visit USO, be sure to take advantage of the great complimentary transportation that is offered. It will make your visit smooth and easy at Universal Studios Orlando. Be sure and ask your Magical Memory Planner which options your specific hotel offers.
