The Norwegian Bliss started sailing in 2018. This ship is in the breakaway plus class which is one of the largest ship classes Norwegian has. Currently the Bliss sails to Alaska and the Caribbean. The Bliss is an amazing and beautiful ship that has amazing food and entertainment options. Here are our favorites from our time on the Bliss.
Best Restaurant: Q Texas Smokehouse
Q Texas Smokehouse is our favorite specialty dining location. This restaurant is not only delicious but a lot of fun. In the evening there is even live country music to add to the fun. The loaded potatoes are amazing and the salmon was also perfect. Of course the ribs are great too! The restaurant even has a signature cocktail.
I also want to make mention of Margaritaville and their amazing nachos and Food Republic with their awesome sushi and small plates.
Best Activity: Go Carts
This ship is full of great activities like water slides and laser tag but my favorite activity is the go carts. We had a blast taking them for a spin. This go cart track is currently the largest at sea and covers two decks. Although there is a charge for this experience it will be well worth it! Be sure to reserve your time ahead so you don’t miss it.
Best Entertainment: Jersey Boys
There are lots of fun places on the ship from lounges to bars and shows. The best show of the cruise is definitely Jersey Boys. I have seen this on Broadway and it was equally as good on the Bliss. The show is complimentary but very popular so be sure to get tickets when you do your check in before your cruise. If you don’t have tickets you will have to wait in the standby line and might not get in.
Best Space: Observation Lounge
There are lots of great places to hang out on the ship. The Waterfront that is all along deck 8 with access to many restaurants is a nice place and worth a mention but the best place is the Observation Lounge. The Observation lounge is located on the front of the ship and has floor to ceiling windows (two decks high) and can give you a 180 degree view of the scenery. This is one of the great reasons to sail on the Bliss to Alaska. While in the comfort of an indoor lounge (with its own bar) you can take in all the amazing views of Alaska.
Best For Kids: Splash Academy
The Norwegian Bliss has lots of great spaces for kids. They will love the pool, laser tag, and the go carts. You will both love the Splash Academy. This is the supervised kids activity area for kids 3-12. The Splash Academy is complementary for most of the day but as a fee for extended hours. The kids will have a blast and you will enjoy some kid free time.
