There are so many options for training with webinars and presentations but our FAVORITE way to learn is by traveling to the destination. In March we had a Magical Memory Planners training at Universal Orlando Florida. Here is a little bit about what we did.
Aventura Hotel
Almost half the agents came down the night before and stayed at the Aventura Hotel. This hotel is so cool and super high tech. We nicknamed it the fidget spinner hotel because of the shape of the hotel. The rooms have ipads in them to control the lights, temperature, and more. They have rooms with two queen beds but also kid suites that have a king, two twins, and also a pull out couch (which was very comfortable even for an adult). This hotel has incredible views too! I loved the clean modern look of the rooms, pool area, and common areas but my favorite thing was Bar 17 Bistro. Located on the 17th floor, this rooftop bar has great views of the area. You can enjoy a bite here even if you are not staying at the Aventura too.
Loews Royal Pacific
The rest of the training we stayed the Loews Royal Pacific. This is a great option for families since it’s on the water taxi (for City Walk, Universal Studios, and Islands of Adventure) and there are also walking paths to the parks if you prefer that. There is a bus that takes you to Volcano Bay. The resort is beautiful with a tropical island feel and best of all, Unlimited Express Pass is included throughout your stay. This is a real benefit when you are at the parks. Royal Pacific is also home to the Minion Breakfast and the Luau on Saturday night. You don’t have to stay here to book these events but it sure is convenient.
Site Inspections
As a group we also took a guided tour of Volcano Bay, Sapphire Falls, Aventura, and Cabana Bay. Volcano Bay was very impressive and we enjoyed getting an insiders look from Universal at what the park offers, how the Tapu Tapu works, and some tips that we can use to help you plan the perfect day at Volcano Bay. We also saw rooms at Sapphire Falls, learned more about Aventura, and got a full tour of Cabana Bay. Cabana Bay is a huge resort and offers some great options for families with their family suites, special entrance to Volcano Bay, a bowling alley, and two complete pool areas with water slides and lazy river. One of the great things about Universal Orlando Resort is that you can visit other onsite hotels to enjoy their unique offerings.
Free Time
We spend our free time in the parks. The unlimited express pass is amazing. Here is one example of HOW amazing it is. At Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey the standby wait time was 45 min and we got through with Express Pass in 8 minutes!! If Unlimited Express Pass is something you want be sure to let you agent know so they can find the most cost effective way to have it included in your trip. Agents participated in a resort wide scavenger hunt to check out all the parks have to offer.
We have an amazing team of agents who are ready to help you plan your next vacation to Universal Orlando whether you want to add a day onto an Orlando vacation or if you want spend your whole vacation at Universal.
